It seems that there were many separate groups of B'mans around the turn of the 19th century. The major ones we have found so far are:

1. Jeremiah and Ruth (Barrow) Beaman of Greene County, North Carolina
2. John and Margaret (Hunter) Beaman of Rowan County, North Carolina
3. Judge J.W. (Descendant of John and Margaret Beaman) and Margaret (Smiley) Beaman of Pettis County, Missouri
4. The Beemans of Michigan
5. The Beemans of Wisconsin
